What kind of events do we do?                                                                                 SCHOOL DANCES School dances are our specialty. All of our DJs are either still in or shortly out of high school. We are close enough in age to the students to know what songs are popular. We play songs entirely by requests. Students can write down their favorite song on a request sheet at the event or they can text it to us. In addition, when a dance is scheduled with us you will be given a special link where the students can go to request songs ahead of time so that we can make sure we have all the songs we need to make everyone happy. PARTIES If you want to have a party to remember, Mixed Up DJs is for you. Whether you are throwing a birthday party or just want to have some good music at a get-together with family or friends, Mixed Up DJs can make it happen. We can do birthday parties for any age, and any amount of guests and will gladly do parties with multiple birthday boys or girls. Along with playing the music we can also optionally facilitate the events of the party including the cake and presents and other activities you have planned for your party. For any party we can do party games including the limbo, musical chairs and more. Indoors or out, Mixed Up DJs can turn any party into an exciting time for everyone. WEDDINGS Mixed Up DJs isn't just about school dances and parties. We can take the day you will never forget and give you one more reason not to. Prior to your special day you will have a one on one meeting with the DJs who will ask your preferences on music and content and discuss all the other details of your wedding. We do the introductions of the wedding party at the reception, the bride and groom's first dance as well as other special dances such as mother-son and father-daughter. We also facilitate the bouquet and garter toss and the cutting of the cake. We can also play party games for the young and old alike to make sure everyone has a great time. Optionally we can also play the music at your ceremony. Mixed Up DJs also works in collaboration with Digital Memories Photography who will take excellent photos of your special day that you can look back on for years to come. LIGHTING Mixed Up DJs has over $2000 of spot and effects lighting that enhances every event. Unlike other DJs who simply put their lights on a timer and just leave them alone, Mixed Up DJs takes pride in making a great light show for every song. Our special effects lights move with the music adding a visual dimension to the sound, while our spot lighting can illuminate the dance floor at your wedding making the bride and groom the center of attention. And up to three fog machines make our lights miraculously visible. If you are a DJ and would like more lights at an event you are DJing, Mixed Up DJs will bring their lights to your event and run their lights as well as yours while you concentrate on the music.
