Mixed Up DJs was started at the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year by Shawn Duross and Ben Gilblair. Shawn had a large MP3 collection and plenty of DJ lights, and Ben soon got interested. After much debate about the name, Mixed Up DJs was born. Yes it is just a few college students, but they have experience and skill beyond their years, and at reasonable prices. Now Mixed Up DJs owns over $1300 worth of effects lights and controls and over 1400 songs. Shawn plays the music on his Black Apple MacBook using a program called Disco. The songs played are entirely by request and as a special bonus, if the event is at an establishment where internet access is available, songs will be downloaded on-the-fly if they are requested but not yet in Shawn’s library. So far the team has only had a few gigs, but they hope that once their name becomes more widely known, they will keep growing. For a price quote or more information see the contact page.
